following pics are from tucson and tombstone: casino del sol was awesome (forbes 4 star)/ tombstone was special and thanksgiving with my favorite daughter was the best.
drove to el paso then onto sanderson, tx. booked a room at the Budget Motel since it was close to Big Bend nat’l park and the Rio Grande. booked for 2 nights…could only stay 1 night. Room’s windows were painted over, flies throughout room, ac/htr blew either 80 or 60 degrees, toilet seat fell off. top of the list for worst place on my trip. visited big bend, viewed rio grande and watched 2 Mexicans(assuming) row a canoe across the river and step on US soil. so much for homeland security!!
almost forgot…drove to Ft Hancock texas. if you guys remember Shawshank Redemption, this is where Andy and Red crossed into Mexico.
spent week on riverwalk in san antonio…ate some great food, played 3 decent golf courses but didnt take any pictures (dont know why).
spent a few days in houston, played the Tour 18 golf course which replicates famous holes: augusta amen corner (11,12,13) and the 17th at TPC Sawgrass. dont mean to bragg but I parred Augusta #12 and birdied sawgrass 17. cant believe the houston traffic…too many people.
